Our Story
GRANO is the dream of an Italian couple that came true in 2022 with their first-ever family-run business. Dario's passion for dough combined with Giovanna's passion for cakes gave birth to GRANO (in English grain or wheat) which is the basis of all the preparations of bakery products.
" Dario and Giovanna met in Italy in 2011. While Giovanna was still in Uni – studying biology-, Dario was working for a retail shop but they knew that was not their dream future and reality. Dario decided to make a change in his life and attended a pizza chef course after which he started his career working for some years in Italy, his home country, where, his master pizza chef made him cultivate his passion for dough which pushed him to look for new challenges and gave him the courage to leave the country to seek for new experiences. Giovanna was pushed to study by her parents that were hoping to give her a stable future, but she always loved baking cakes for her loved ones and every time she had some free time between one exam and the other, she used to spend hours in the kitchen. In 2014, as soon as Giovanna finished her studies, they decided to build their future cultivating their passions and putting them together to create their own business. "
